THURS 27. JON BURGERMAN WORKSHOP
JON BURGERMAN (UK) GRAFIL WORKSHOP. "CHALK, DON'T CHALK"
Thurs Sept 27th: 1530-1830
Grafill workshop: 300 NOK. RSVP to: Veslemoy.Holt@c-k.no
Venue: Norges Kreative Fagskole
Artist, illustrator and graphic designer, Jon Burgerman is a multidisciplinarian carefully constructing a world in which the narrative of being an artist is played out across a wide variety of media for the distraction, enlightenment and delight of those who choose to tune in.
Tune in and join us for a practical hands-on workshop at Norges Kreative Fagskole, where Burgerman will introduce us to the wonderful world of chalk.
Burgerman's workshop will be simple affairs, offering a space to dabble in and explore quiet interventions. By utilising cheap and accessible materials such as cardboard, paper, paint and chalk the attendees will be challenged to disrupt, distract and delight in their everyday surroundings. A quiet intervention is perhaps at odds with the often bombastic spectacle oft coveted by todays jobbing Street Artists; who can be biggest, shout the loudest, climb the highest. With a whisper, a swagger and pervasive charm, a nudge is as good as a knock. Beyond the mere physical, tiny acts can be digitally spliced and enhanced, a potent spore primed to go viral on the current bastion of the new art frontier, the internet.
